Days 66-68: Nuremberg and (briefly) outside

This was our first time in Nürnberg ( Nuremberg ) and we'd come here on a recommendation for a stop as we head towards the Rudolstadt Festival . We spent the weekend around the old city, and then headed a short distance west to physically meet with someone with whom we'd been e-corresponding for a little while. Around the Aldstadt It was a relatively short tram ride from our apartment into the edge of the old city, using a weekend travel pass. Nuremberg has a well restored medieval centre, with a large castle hovering over it.
